One day in August as I was getting ready to go to work Chris called and said "your Dad and I are going to set up Logan's new bed" I looked at his crib from where I was standing and said I didn't think the time was right, as he was getting some new teeth and hadn't been sleeping well for awhile, and he had not even once yet tried to climb out of it.....really I just wanted to cry because that meant he was growing up. I was a bit sad to see it go(the nursery set) but WOW did Logan ever LOVE his new bedroom set!
We have his first reaction on video camera. All he said when he went into his room as he turned around and looked at everything was "Uh OH!" We asked him if he wanted to sleep in his crib(we had not yet disassembled it) or his big boy bed that night and he said his big boy bed. The night went off without a hitch. The next morning we asked him if he wanted to sleep in his crib later that night. He said he wanted to sleep in his big boy bed again. We immediately disassembled the crib and packed it away. The transfer was amazing!
When we first bought the bunk bed set, I hadn't even thought of the sheets and mattresses that we would have to buy. So i said to Chris maybe we should return it, and just get a double or queen like we had originally planned. Chris said "no way, I always wanted a bunk bed when i was younger" You will notice in the pictures how happy not only Logan is but Chris too. We even found some really cool decorative trucks, and planes which Chris hung from the ceiling. Overall we really like how it turned out. Logan has a better bedroom set than we do. What a lucky boy.
