WOO HOO!!!! I completed my first 5K

After two weeks of two pulled hamstrings(done seperately),having the 24 hour flu, and then a cold which ended with laryngitis I managed to complete my first 5K run. I have been training since Jan, and wasn't going to let anything stop me. Thank goodness it didn't rain 'cause I might have cuddled back up under my covers.

My time was 32:53, and I was amongst the top 20 in my age group. I finished 18th of 77 in my group. I was doing 1km every 6:35 minutes. The fastest time was 16minutes and something......can you imagine 1km every 3 minutes. WOW!!!

I managed to beat my little sister by 2 minutes. Pat on my back!!! She already wants to know when and where the next one is........I'm sure I will never beat her again.

Post run, ready to do some stretching, have a nap, and a long hot bubble bath.

Chris and Logan came to cheer us on.

My friend Laura stayed with me the whole time.

So we had an opportunity to go to Florida this March Break, and stay with Gramma-Lou and Grant. We had a terrific time. We flew from Buffalo airport and Logan was wonderful on the plane. Although he did push on the seat in front of him for the first 30-45 minutes on both flights, he slept for the last hour and a bit on both flights. Luckily he was sitting behind another child, and a teenager on the flights, and they both seemed to take it quite well....thank goodness.

We stayed close to the resort, which was sooooo nice, and went swimming in the pool, and took rides on the "Thomas" train, which Logan LOVED!!! We also had a chance to go to the Orlando Premium Outlet for some retail therapy ; ) I cannot believe the difference in shoe prices for kids in the U.S.A. it is ridiculous how much more expensive they are here at home.

When we got there Kate and the boys were already there, and Logan enjoyed a few days with his cousins before they returned home. Every morning he would wake up and ask "where is Dalton, Dylan, Gramma-Lou, and Grant" so we'd go to look for them., then everyone was awake for the day.

On the 17th we celebrated St.Patty's day, and Logan's birthday with the Brownlee's, Gramma-Lou and Grant, as Kate and the boys were headed home early on the 18th(Logan's birthday)

On the 18th, we had Grandma and Grandpa Stuteley over for dinner, and they brought some gifts and a cake too. Logan was very spoiled this year, and thought everyday was a "birthday party" while on our trip.

We also went to visit Grandma and Grandpa for dinner in their camper. They decided to stay in Orlando this week as they knew we'd be in town.

We did not go to Disney World this time. We hope to return someday when Logan is older, can remember and appreciate it. We did get him a t-shirt though and he got two Mickey Balloons as well.

On this trip Logan started telling Chris and I "Mommy good girl" "Daddy good boy" in the cutest tone ever. He is such a sweetheart, and I hope to get it on film to have forever.
