Richmond Hill Live Steamers
We saw an ad about an open house at the Richmond Hill Live Steamers. A bunch of men run this place as a hobby and open it up to the public twice a year. If you can stand the long line ups you get to go for a ride on these amazing little miniature steam trains. There is a warning sign at the entrance stating that the people working the trains arrived nice and clean at the beginning of the day. There are a few pictures that you may notice the soot and dirt on the men, due to the stuff that comes off of the trains as they run. It was really amazing, and Logan LOVED it. We will have to remember to go again.
ALL A BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!
Here they go.....
The tracks wind through the forest, under the nice shady trees.
He was clean in the morning.
Logan waits patiently(sort of) by the fence with Chris, as I stand in line waiting for our ride.
Next time we know to arrive early so hopefully not to wait as long.
Coming under the walking bridge.
Several different tracks, and a maintenance station for broken down trains.
The view from on top of the walking bridge.
Logan wonders what is going on as we enter the forest, and he can hear the trains.
A sick train.

Logan and I saw very little of Chris in July as he was hard at work on his Dad's house. This is the same house that Chris and his sister Jen grew up in as kids. He enjoyed working for his Dad at the house and said how he had vivid memories come flooding back to him when he worked in several different rooms of the house. The house had been rented out for the past 14 years and it needed some TLC to put it on the market to sell. These are the before pictures. I will post the after pictures later.
