We have decided to give it another go this year with a veggie garden. This time around we have included stakes and chicken wire, so that the rabbits(which we often see hanging around the yard)can't get a taste of EVERYTHING like they have in the past.....although I do feel a bit guilty for not sharing with them.....perhaps we will get them a little bowl to feed from, and put a few tastings in it for them?
Logan has a book called "In the Garden". In the book a little boy plants a vegetable garden, and some of his mini trucks too......by the end of the book everything has grown into GIANT vegetables, and of course GIANT trucks, which end up driving away. So last week after reading the book to him we ask if he would like to plant a vegetable garden. Logan was very excited and shouted "YAAAAAAH!" SO we asked what he would like to plant, and he said "My plant carrots, and big green juicy peas!?!", just like in the book. Everytime we get to the page in his book about big green juicy peas Logan asks for a small bowl of peas for himself. So we get him some of the frozen ones in the freezer and continue on with the book. We hope our peas will be just as nice, juicy, and tasty as the ones appear to be in the book.....we'll have to wait and see. Just a few more weeks until we can sample some of our own.
Here Logan is filling up the tin cans to plant some cherry tomatoes in.
Watching patiently as Daddy shows him how to transfer the plant.
Successful.
Upset that he doesn't get to rip the plant out of the tin can and try it himself.
