Dad's little helper...

Logan found Daddy's empty beer can and helped him out by drinking the last drop, followed with an "Ahhhhh"

Taking a look at Dad's cold beer can.

Learning how to use a drill.

Logan helps Daddy screw together the taillight for our camping trip. What a good little helper.

Soccer time.

Running for the soccer ball.

Take 2.

Pep talk.

Taking some time to pick mom some flowers.

Looking for the best one.

Camping!!!!!!!

LOVE this one!!

We were fortunate to have a few days to go Camping with Grandma and Grandpa Stuteley. We went to Shore Acres Family Campground in Port Dover. It is a beautiful park overlooking Lake Erie, run by a man in his early 90's we think.

We were a bit worried of how we would keep Logan contained to our site but he was very good and only tried to run away 98 % of the time. No seriously he was great. Thankfully though we had brought with us the amazing Graco playpen that Aunt Jen gave us, and we were able to use it at times when needed to have a break from running after Logan.

Logan seemed to thoroughly enjoy himself and made friends with everyone who walked by. He always said "HI", and then as they would walk by he followed off with a "Bye". He slept very well in his custom crib in the camper which Chris made with a children's safety pressure mounted gate- what a genious!

Trying to get away.

A pose with grandma and Grandpa.

All of us.

Logan got his first taste of a crispy cheezy. I'm pretty sure he liked it....take a look.

Sometimes we had to hop in to the playpen with Logan, as he's not used to being contained in them and didn't like it too much.

Dinner time.

Future "Mr. Right"

Aunt Alli came for a visit on Sunday.

A weekend up north.

We finally got up north a few weekend s ago, and here are some pic's.

Logan likes toplay with the soccer ball, and calls it a "ba".

Our little monkey takes a break from running around to enjoy some banana.
We have a meat eater.

Logan checks out his shadow.

Although he wanted in the bay, the hot tub seemed to keep him just as happy.
SPLISH SPLASH!!!!!!!
Daddy and Logan check out the water while down at the park.

Cheese!!!!!!!!

We took an outing to some nearby waterfalls, and hiking trails. What a view from the top.

Amazing!

Logan searches for some dandelions, and then hands me a dandelion bouquet.

14.5 Months-UPDATE

Well Logan is 14.5 months old now. He is into EVERYTHING!!!! To think that we thought we had baby proofed. Haha, what a joke.

Just yesterday he discovered how to push the button and open the child safety lock on the kitchen cupboard door, then ripped the safety latch off the toilet, learned how to climb onto the coffee table.........I'm just waiting to see what is next. Ah yes I almost forgot, he now likes to clear all 6 pillows from the couch, onto the floor and then crawl up onto it. Once he's up, he spins around, sits firmly onto his bum and looks at us, as if to say "look at me, I'm such a big boy now, look what I just did all by myself!" with the cutest grin from ear to ear.

Currently he is in Daycare 3 days a week and he seems to love it. Every day when we ask him if he wants to go to "school" he nods his head up and down , and can't seem to wait getting out the door and into the car on our way to see his friends. He has been going for just over 3 months, and he babbles more than ever now. It's amazing to watch and listen.

Logan understands 'yes' and 'no' very well, and communicates to us by moving his head up and down or side to side(or just ignores us when we tell him 'no'). Logan is starting to use some words, most often when we ask him"Can you say..." He currently says uh-p(often the p sound comes a few seconds later), down, more, mamma, dadda, ba(bottle), uh-oh(constantly), hi, and bye.

Logan still enjoys brushing his teeth, but now he insists on holding his toothbrush, so I got another one to brush for him while he's holding the other one.

Logan will no longer sit still for a story, as he'd rather be flipping the pages himself.

We recently bought Logan a water table, and he LOVES to play outside with the animals and water slide that it came with. Chris found an old turtle pool that someone was getting rid of, so he brought it home and washed it out. Although we already had one for splashing around on hot summer days, we're going to put sand in the one he just got. I can just picture it now.....a mouth full of sand. Yuck! Will keep you posted.

A few weeks ago when Grandma and Grandpa came to visit they sang "The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round", and did the movements too. Logan has been singing it at school as well, and now if we start to sing it at home he moves his hands 'round and 'round to the song with a big smile on his face. It's almost as if he's thinking ' Hey I remember this one'.

Logan is very independent and is already for almost two months now, been climbing the jungle gym at the park and then sliding down the slide. A few weeks ago when I went to pick him up from school he had a scratch on his face. As it turned out Logan had attempted to get onto the jungle gym at school, and when they went to get him off he tried to get further on and slipped, scratching himself. The teachers were very sorry because apparently the kids aren't allowed on the gym set until they're 18 months. Oops! That was my fault. I'm still wondering how they're going to keep him off it for another 3.5 months??

Last weekend we went to a wedding, and Gramma-Lou babysat for us for the night......little did we know that Logan was cutting two top molars, his upper right lateral tooth, and had strep throat. Needless to say he was rather crabby, had a fever, and wasn't eating very well....no wonder. Poor Gramma-Lou!! She got sick on Mon. He's feeling much better now that he's been on Amoxicillin for a week. He's back to his happy, hungry self again.

As long as he's not getting a tooth, soaked through his diaper, wakes up cold, has strep throat, or a fever....Logan sleeps through the night in his crib( just knocked on wood) anywhere from 7 pm to 7 am(knocking again) He will still wake around 6 am, and we bring him in with us for some snuggles(they're only 14.5 months once) and hopefully 1 more hour of sleep....although this past weekend that didn't work and he was up at 6 with the birds, to explore the cottage and watch the sun rising. Oh joy oh bliss ; ) We took several pic's this past weekend, and I will try to post asap. Unfortunately I didn't get any of him trying to run into Georgian Bay with his bare feet, as I was trying to pull him out of the freezing cold water. All he wanted to do was go for a swim. We had to resort to a dip in the hot tub instead. He didn't seem to mind at all ; )

Logan is also learning different sounds that animals make. If we ask him "what sound does a cow make?" he responds with "MOOOOOOO" with a big grin on his face. If we ask him what sound any other animal makes, he responds with "MOOOOOOOOO" as well......currently every animal makes a Moo sound.

When asked "where is Logan's nose" he points to his head.....close but we still have to work on it.

When we ask Logan for a kiss he makes a kissing noise with his lips, and will most often try to plant a wet open mouth on ours. Clearly we still have to work on this as well.
