Boys and their toys!!!

Ummm I wonder who did this. These aren't toys........but to a one year old anything goes.

Loving his play time.

Still checking out his new car...he has figured out how to move it backwards.

In full concentration with the horn noises. Honk honk honk honk honk.........

Checking out his "fropper" from Grumpa and Barb. The seat hops like a frog when he sits on it.

Party cont'd...

Mommy's friend(aka Aunt Danielle) made the veggie and fruit platters. They we're yummy!!
Still a freshie....Keira Hartill made a special visit for Logan's party, just over 24 hrs old, and just released from the hospital. What a cutie she is. She came with her mom, dad, and Sandma and Johnpa. She was born on March 20th at 12:05am, and Logan's party was on the 21st.

Logan received this car from Aunt Danielle, and we put it together while he was asleep.....so he woke up to another new toy to play with. He loves it as you can tell from his smile.

Testing out the wheels and steering.

When everyone left the party a few people stuck around. Daddy's friend(Aka Uncle Kev) and Logan hung out under the table for a bit and played.

The Birthday boy!!

Sporting a dress shirt and a tie for his party.
What a cutie!!.

Logan's Birthday party

Logan wasn't really liking the hat on his head.
We had lots of food and cake. The day was beautiful and sunny so we had the windows open.

Logan enjoyed playing with his cousins, and was thankful for their help in opening his gifts ; )

Uncle Chris, McLeod, Grumpa, and Dalton.

The hit birthday cake.....a cupcake cake. 1/2 vanilla, 1/2 chocolate. Everyone said it was deeeeelicious!! There wasn't a cupcake left.

MARCH 18, 2009

Mr. Logan turns one. The day consisted of a Dr's appt(bad mommy-tried to reschedule) in the morning for Logan's 12 month shots. He got one in each arm, and there were no tears(just a bit of a fuss after the 2nd one which I was told was more intermuscular). Then after feeling horrible for taking him to the Dr's appt we went to Party Packagers to get some supplies for Logan's party this weekend. Soon it was lunch time and I had the great idea to corrupt him young(and try and make it up to him) by treating him to a Happy Meal from McDonald's. Soooo we went and got a chicken McNugget Happy Meal for him. I tried to scrap off all of the extra salt from the fries, so that i didn't feel too horrible for feeding him this bad food. Anyways, he loved it! When we got home(thankfully) he had an episode of explosive POO!!! Yuck! I suppose that is what I should have expected from all the grease. Later on in the evening Gramma-Lou and Grant came by for dinner, and a cupcake. Although Logan didn't like the icing, it was clear that he enjoyed his cake. They were very kind and bought him a Radio Flyer wagon. Logan was able to push it around the living room. He was thrilled!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOGAN!!!!!

My birthday boy.

Logan's first stroll around the backyard, on his 1st birthday. (Sorry about the mixed matched outfit Logan) With your adorable face, you don't even need to match ; )

Dinner at Aunt Kate and Uncle D's.

We went to Aunt Kate and Uncle D's house for dinner one night. Logan got to wrestle with the boys, and take a bath with his cousins.

Wrestling with the boys.
Peek-a-boo!!!
Logan trying to get away from his crazy cousins.

The beginning.

Dalton and Dylan ganging up on their young cousin, teaching him their tricks. Time to remove Logan from the play wrestling!! Pronto!!

Lunch at The Beacher.

We have been going to the Beaches since we started dating(1997) and it is one of our favourite places to go. We used to go to "Karas" to eat, but it's gone. We love going to the Beacher cafe for breakfast now. After we eat we go for a walk along Queen Street in hopes of seeing the dogs and then we stroll back along the boardwalk. We generally go on a Saturday or Sunday, but we were able to go down during the week on a beautiful sunny day. If I could live here I would.

The waiter brought Logan some watermelon. I'd say he's a little excited!

Stroll along the boardwalk.

Trying to eat his watermelon while watching the little girl walk around the restaurant. He's fascinated with other kids now.

Logan eyeing up his piece of watermelon that the waiter brought. Usually we cut it up for him. I guess he was unfamiliar with the triangle shape.
"OOhhh. I think I like that stuff"

Shower for Baby Hartill.

We were invited to a shower for the arrival of our very good friends baby. Logan and Sydney hung out for the night.

Two cute little bums.
Logan giving Sydney a bow. Ahhhhhhh.

"This present is for baby Hartill"

Logan and Sydney trying to break into the gift. I don't blame them....they both have it and LOVE IT. It's the "magic swing". It calms them down and puts them to sleep.

Cutie Patootie's.

Playdate at Toby's house.

Logan was invited to play with some friends at Toby's house one Saturday morning. Just the boys turned up that day. It was fun!

Toby and Dylan, just chilling.
Logan and Dylan taking turns in Toby's cool car, while Toby has his lunch. These two are going to be trouble when they get bigger. They're just a few months apart.

L-R Nicholas, Linda, Logan, Logan(yup there's more than one, we also know another one who lives in our town), and Dana.

He no longer crawls.

It is now apparent that Logan now prefers to walk only. He no longer crawls and is getting quicker and quicker by the day it seems, on his own two feet. He prefers not even to hold our hand as walks along. If he stumbles, he stands back up and continues along on his feet. He likes to walk now. It's only been two and a half weeks since he started walking, and I pretty sure he will take after his Dad, and like his Grandpa says "if he's anything like his Dad he'll be running in no time"

Logan likes "School"

We've been taking Logan for three weeks now to his "School" for one day a week for just a few hours. On his first day alone, when I went to pick him up I asked if he cried. They told me he didn't...until he knocked the chair over that he'd been walking with, and he couldn't figure out how to get it back up. Once the teacher picked it up for him he was OK again. This past week when I picked him up, he was trying to rip the broom off the wall....causing a ruckus already. As Logan has just been walking for over a week now, the teacher was surprised when she saw him let go of one of his friends and walk over to his other friend. I guess we forgot to tell her he'd started walking. Apparently he just went walking from friend to friend that day. He would hang onto them once he got to them. We will take him once a week until April when he will then go for three days a week. So far so good. Keeping our fingers crossed/\.

AFTER...all in a weeks work.

Chris was slow in January, so he took his down time to redo our bathroom and although it only took him a week to gut and fully reno our bathroom I am finally posting the AFTER pictures now. Thankfully my brother came to help out with some wiring and plumbing stuff so he was able to motor along and get it done. It is soooo wonderful to have a new bathroom, and the heated floor was a last minute decision, but we're sooo happy that we put it in. It's the best thing in the middle of the night.

Logan wondering if he can have his bath in the new tub.

Logan checking out the heated floors.
