Sooooooo we've been really busy this summer. We've been back and forth to the cottage, and up to our friends cottages as well. I can't believe that it is already Aug 11th. Logan and I have been up at the cottage for almost two weeks straight with Gramma Lou, Aunt Kate, and Logan's cousins. Chris had to work in the city, so he stayed home. Lets just say......I can't imagine doing this on a daily basis alone. It's ALOT of work. It's nice to be back home with Daddy again.
As for Logan he is growing all the time, and is really loving his jolly jumper, excersauser, and rattles. When he is on his tummy he will put his knees right under his belly, and has done a push up like move at the same time, once, that I saw. I think this kid really wants to get going. He likes to move around on his blanket/playmat in circles, or by either pulling himself forward, but mostly pushing himself backwards. He rolls over from back to front, and less often from front to back. It would appear that he gets very frustrated when he tries to put his soother or toy/rattle into his mouth, and does not succeed.
I have just added a ton of pictures from the last several weeks. Enjoy!!!
For the last four nights Logan has been sleeping through the night(knock on wood).....although he does wake up at approx 4-5am. He will not settle back into his crib, but daddy has discovered that Logan will settle right back to sleep if he comes into our bed......NOT MOMMY's choice. Honestly I'm just glad that he is sleeping from approx 8-8:30pm through to approx 7:30 am without waking for a feeding. During the day he has been feeding every 4 hours like clockwork, and at his 7:30pm feed we have introduced some rice cereal, which he seems to enjoy.
The summer has been great(despite all the rain), and it is just flying by. It will be sad when it is over. I have already signed Logan up for a Mother Goose program at our library for the fall and winter. I believe that it invovlves some story time, sing along stuff etc. I will have to find something else to keep us busy over the cold months.
